MadJack was born of a renegade outlaw named crazy John "Jack" Eigel who would go berserk if anyone called him 'yellow'.  He hated the color yellow (no-one is sure why) and even shied away from eating bananas or certain squashes. Always a lime in his drink, never a lemon. After years of bar fighting and winning many a brawl, the locals started referring to him as Mad Jack and kept their distance to avoid confrontation. The name stuck, and after two generations passed, we decided to pick it up and claim it as our own.

—No. We can't back that up. MadJack is actually a combination of Eigel's two children, Madison and Jack. The bar story paints such a vivid picture, we tend to gravitate towards that version in initial introductions as an ice-breaker...

Ben Jackson.  Ben's depth in the cabinet industry formed in the early 2000's when he established The Sunset Group which was created with a mission to help deaf and hard of hearing senior adults have affordable places to live that were located near centers of services to the deaf population.  Having grown up on a farm adjacent to the Georgia School for the Deaf, Ben saw the needs of this segment of the population that are often overlooked.

The vision to help deaf senior adults and deaf families was operationally done under the name Deaf Senior Housing and was successful in helping to obtain funding for three apartment communities located in cities that host residential schools for the deaf in Georgia, Florida and South Carolina.

During this time, Ben spent years working in a family business that included residential remodeling and high-end kitchen design and installation.  A fifteen-year period of work in this industry helped to develop the basis of services of engineering and design and bring a high level of experience to designing kitchens and baths for the apartment industry.
